Before replacing the blower motor of a Buick LeSabre 2001 fan, it is advisable to first check the rest of the circuit. The most common reason for a failing blower motor is the resistance of the blower motor. This resistance is perched in close proximity to the blower motor. In the LeSabre, it is located just to the left of the blower and motor mounted on the cover with two screws. Its function is to regulate the speed of the engine.
Remove the kick panel passenger side using a slotted screwdriver Phillips. Pull the carpet back under the blower motor to allow enough space to drop the blower motor without the interference of the carpet.
Disconnect the plug from the blower motor. Pull the rubber hose vent out the blower motor.
Remove all the head screws Phillips holding the blower motor housing. Leave the engine of the fan down.
Install the new motor in reverse order.
